Our Story ![]() At Brooklyn Pizzeria, we do our best to make the perfect pizza, nothing more or less. Very traditional using only the finest ingredients, and we don't have no secret recipe. We strive for quality, making fresh dough daily, homemade pizza sauce, superior quality cheese, and using delicious toppings. Our pizza is baked in a stone oven and of all these ingredients, the most important ingredient is the pizzaiolo. l mean the cooks. Our staff is very experienced, not just in making pizza, but also in providing star quality customer service. Our crew has received lots of experience working in the finest Italian restaurants in town, like Scalini, Salvatore, Prego Trattoria, Busalacchi's, just to name a few. Our main location in the heart of downtown has grown to become one of Downtown San Diego's most popular pizzerias. After opening our first location in the Hillcrest / North Park neighborhood in 1974, we opened in downtown a couple of years later, and than our third location on Mission Gorge in Mission Valley a few years later. We credit all of our success and growth to our many loyal customers. When in the area, stop by at our Downtown location and try our mouthwatering Osso Bucco as a special, or our delicious chicken piccata.
